<p>Oh…other thank you notes my kids wrote…when we visited a school, if the kiddos had an interview, my kids wrote a nice note thanking the admissions person for the information. We thought that was an appropriate time to send a thank you. No gifts, at any time!</p>
<p>If this school is public it might be against the law for them to accept a gift for doing their job.</p>

<p>Not your point, I know, but I’m glad to know Yale has softened its rejection letter. A generation ago, when I got mine, I thought it was kind of brusque. I suppose it’s possible I was overly sensitive.</p>
