Recommended High School Preparation for MIT

No, I don’t think that you suffice for the high school requirements for MIT.

I second what the two posters have mentioned. Most students I’ve seen getting admitted to MIT take 9 or more GCE O Levels/IGCSE’s including Social Sciences Subjects and a minimum of 2 languages. You must need a rigorous high school record for admission, particularly at MIT. Your ‘B’ in English as a Second Language will hurt you a lot (at MIT as it is SUPER competitive) but it can be somewhat suppressed by a high score in the SAT. You haven’t mentioned your SAT scores yet.

Studying a subject at high school for two years or more does NOT meet the requirements for a British patterned education system because you need to complete that subject at O Levels/IGCSE and get the satisfactory grade.

It is silly to ask whether History from Grade 1 to 7 meets your high school requirement because ALL COLLEGES LOOK AT THE HIGH SCHOOL RECORD ONLY i.e. FROM GR 9-12

In most cases, GCE O Levels/IGCSE doesn’t matter a lot and GCE A Levels is what most adcoms take into account although you need to fulfill most of your requirements through IGCSE/GCE O Levels.

I don’t understand what you mean by taking Economics and Bengali in June :s Can you please elaborate.

GOOD LUCK! :)
