Umm…there is a reason the author of this stated article you posted a link to put quotation marks around “improved” teaching evaluations. Sorry you couldn’t actually read the article yourself. Yes there is much valid debate and criticism in the literature about the validity of teaching evaluations, our wonky reward system, and the powerful influence- both positive and negative- regarding teaching evaluations. Has <em>nothing</em> to do with trading tips about dumbing down the curriculum. </p>

<p>Hey, ‘Perfessor’ !! In academia, first-tier publications are called “journals” … second-tier ones are “periodicals” . Thus, NEJM is a ‘journal’ while JAMA – even though it has the word ‘journal’ in its title – is a periodical … got it ??</p>
