Reed EA 2024

I also got an acceptance email yesterday. When I checked this page on Friday and saw that packages were arriving on Wednesday I freaked out and thought I hadn’t gotten in. So don’t worry yet! It seems the mailing process got messed up again this year (just like last year) so until you have a box or a letter you can’t make any assumptions!

Got an acceptance email last night!! Now just waiting on the physical letter and finical aid. Does anyone know how we will find out, and when, about finical aid??

waitlisted :frowning:

I got accepted!! I got email on Sunday .

I was accepted! I received my email Sunday night and still waiting on my package (coming to Chicago). Hopefully, it’ll come today with a financial letter!

Accepted via email too and also waiting on package in Chicago. Thought it was just me! Lmk if you get yours/have updates.

Accepted ED2 by email on Monday late afternoon and received box today via Fed Ex.

Congratulations to all who got accepted ! and good luck to all who are still waiting or have to choose another university. You are all very good students and you will do well wherever you will end up studying!

My son was waitlisted; he will withdraw his application to Reed and accept the offer from Chapel Hill.

Accepted and received the package last week! Now just waiting on the financial aid letter coming in a week.

Just received my financial aid notification via email.

@womaninstem was the offer more generous than the net price calculator?

Yes, there was a decently large difference.

Not sure if anyone is still reading this thread, but here’s my Reed update:

I have yet to confirm my enrollment, as I am waiting to hear back from other schools so that I can compare prices and degree of ‘belonging-ness’ (the best way I can describe it).
I’ve been receiving consistent emails from them still, and I now know that they are definitely a school that wants to make sure your child knows that they are wanted at Reed. They also asked for an update on my decision process, which (off memory) had the options of ‘I will be attending Reed’, ‘I will probably be attending Reed’, ‘I’m not sure if I will be attending Reed (waiting to hear back from other schools)’, and ‘I will not be attending Reed.’ I like how interactive they are even after your acceptance, you never feel like you will be left in the dark.
Today, I received a handwritten letter from Reed. It was written by a student congratulating me on my acceptance and informed me that if I want to know more about what it’s actually like studying at Reed, I can ask through their Write a Reedie service. Again, I really liked how personal this felt, it makes me feel like Reed truly wants me and that I’m more than just a number to them.

Here’s a brief insight on my stats, and I will be honest with you all, I did not think at all that I was going to be accepted to Reed until the day that I saw the shipping notification - applying was a decision I made right after they extended the EA deadline, and I am immensely glad that I made that decision.
