@toowonderful…My D was a Tisch Scholar, yes, and that program no longer exists, BUT that program had NOTHING to do with any scholarship money. It was a selective thing unrelated to money. She did get to go on two free trips with Tisch Scholars, including one to Brazil. There were approximately 15 students per year in ALL of Tisch (not just Drama) selected to participate in Tisch Scholars.
The scholarship my kid got for all four years at Tisch was called a Trustee Scholarship. That was a significant amount of money as a grant for all four years of college. In senior year, she was given three smaller additional scholarships, that all had a name after specific people.
When my D applied, we knew nothing about Tisch Scholars (again not a scholarship) and nothing about the Trustee Scholarship. She got a letter about the financial aid with the scholarship, and my eyes popped out of my head. A different letter/packet arrived about being selected to be in Tisch Scholars, which was an honor.
