Ok, good that someone called and they said everything should be out by next Friday. Finally some assurance because I’ve been waiting and I was worried that I deleted the decision email by accident because it went to spam or something but I’m not crazy for worrying.
Does anyone think the “Admission Acceptance Form” underneath Applicant Services on myslice is a good sign or

nope… nothing. i’m assuming this is a bad sign considering the fact that it does not seem like any rejections came out.
There’s no way they went through 3-4 waves without rejecting anyone so far.
i just called the admissions office and they said itll continue coming out withing the next few weeks and that there will be another wave sometime this week
so should i assume im rejected considering the fact that they havent rejected anyone yet
Of all the schools my kid has applied to…and there are many, this Syracuse is handling decisions, the worst. No communication or anything. For what people are paying this school, they should be much better than this. A few weeks??? That is insane.
They had technical issues during their virtual admission things too. I’m surprised how they will do it so late. No time to really consider anything!
@CindyLeuWho …we did not even know that they had a virtual admissions thing. We literally have gotten zero communication from them on anything except to ask for additional FinAid documentation. Horrible admissions experience overall.
@Ontheverge they emailed accepted students about it to take place at 3:00, then said it was pushed back to 4:15 but only sent out the email about the postponing at around 3:45, and when it started they closed down the student chat box and said that they hoped that admitted students had a good time at the earlier video portal and that this meeting was for perspective students and admitted students could stay if they wanted? It was so confusing and frustrating and their video didn’t really say what made Syracuse special, it was your basic copy-paste “we are diverse, inclusive, and personal” speech.
HOWEVER, speaking to the pros of the school, my older friends go there now for Drama and they love it there and think that the school has been so supportive of them. One of them transferred there from a STEM major to the drama program and hasn’t regretted it since! But of course Syracuse offered them good and appealing FA, and I personally wasn’t offered anything except and invitation to apply to a separate diversity scholarship that I never wanted to fill out lol.
Every school is going to have communication issues, my high school is a the epitome of poor communication, and hopefully, if you care about Syracuse enough, it doesn’t deter you away from the programs themselves!
I just emailed my admission counselor because I have honestly had enough of waiting and I am ready to make my decision. I’m hoping they will come out today or tomorrow. Their process is so incredibly inconsiderate at this point.
@lmastro23 - what is this admission counselor? I don’t even have one of those and have heard from literally no one from the university, except asking for me to fill out more finaid forms. I don’t blame you! Ready to make a decision here too! Not weeks from now!
@CindyLeuWho - glad to hear your friends are having a good experience! I am going to have to think long and hard but waiting an extra few weeks after other people heard weeks ago, is not really making it that easy.

Wow, I’m so sorry to hear you guys are having a difficult time with this. Fortunately, I was able to get my decision last month. They sent me the acceptance email on February 21st at 6:16PM, if any of you were wondering about the time. Did anyone apply to falk college, because that’s the college I was admitted to. I wish you all the best of luck, praying for you guys.
