I feel for everyone who’s experiencing pain and disappointment out there this week, but please don’t add to it by unfairly blaming the Wesleyan mail room. Rdaneel is right: A presorted first-class letter with 29.3 cents is supposed to be handled just like a first-class letter with a 39 cent stamp. I’m sure it’s just the usual inconsistencies in mail service that make it seem like the rejections all took longer. Many of those who received their rejections on Monday or Tuesday just didn’t choose to post the news, I’m guessing.
