Rejected From SD- NO LA?

please please come out this weekend.

Someone @ my school got rejected @ UCLA, but accepted at STANFORD for crying out loud, these things are very unpredictable…

I do not work for admissions, so this information is not accurate. Do not rely on this sentence to get any hopes up. It could be up next week.

I got into SD winter quarter (Muir? Revelle?) and UCLA fall quarter. Chose Roosevelt as first choice college, uh tough to get into.

ok, does anybody know excactly which website to sign into to check admissions results? I always thought it was this: http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/Applicant/Decision/default.htm</a> but it’s not…

^its that site. when decisions are finally up, that page will change to a log on screen where we enter in our UC Application ID. i’m pretty sure that’s what happens.

http://blog.admissions.ucla.edu/</a></p>

says “the very end of the last week of March 2007”

thanks, starrynight!
ahhhhh but I always thought of UCSD as a stepping stone to UCLA… but now that I’m rejected from the former, I don’t know what to think…

My friend from hs was rejected from ucsd with 4.5/1530/800/800/800/800/750.

How do those statistics work? You can’t get a 4.5 UC GPA on the 6 classes+ a year curriculum that most California public schools go by, and what are all those 800s? At any rate, while it should be taken with a grain of salt, since there seem to be a lot of people on the UCSD forum that were so far above average for UCSD that claim to be rejected, so, yeah, this year was a pretty odd one.

you deserve the rejection from SD. you got all cocky when you got the letter from LA

there is absolutely NO correlation btwn ANY of the UC’s (including the huge myth about getting into either Cal or LA-but not both). If there was some sort of collaboration, i would venture to guess that the decisions would come out at the same time.

i hope you are right bruinboy…here’s to hoping there’s still a chance…and to dawn, yes i always interpreted it as a stepping stone as well

I was rejected from UCSD, but I got the HSSEAS Engineering letter.

well bruinboy’s point is a double edged sword. in a sense it gives hope knowing that ur rejection at UCSD does not mean u have no shot at UCLA. However, at the same time for those who believe u got rejected at UCSD because u got into UCLA is also disproved.

dogue, for real?? what were your stats if you don’t mind…

edit: didn’t see the other 3 pages where there already was a response

I would say something about “holistic admissions”, but it might be controversial…

Say it flopsy say it…

hm…apparently 2 other kids at my school who already got UCLA ( engineers) both got rejected by SD…i don’t know what is going on…

when do y’all think decisions will be this week?
