thats the stuff that it says is availible through the site, that sounds like a bunch of admitted students/current students stuff…

It’s basically for students who are REGISTERED, yes, for them to sort through their classes and that sort of thing. However, you don’t have to be admitted to log on to the site.

To all of you who got rejected from your top choices, I know it is upsetting now but things usually work out. To put it in perspective, many of the top public schools in California had 40-50,000+ applications for approx 4500 seats (ex. UCLA, Cal, UCSD). Even San Diego State had close to 45,000 apps for about 7,000 freshman seats. That means between 30-40,000 people got rejected from all these schools. So you are not alone by any means. Try to look at the positives about the school you choose. Good luck to you all!

I thought I read somewhere that people are applying to more and more colleges each year…something like an average of 8 or something like that…I had a friend apply to 16 schools and only two were UC’s…of course that means there would be more rejections too and the numbers would keep going up. Maybe that’s part of it?

i think that definitely is part of it… moer applicants per school = more rejections per school… and the matriculation rates are going to go way down because there is no way one person can attend 16 schools… lol.

also, these next few years ('07-'11) have the biggest classes nationwide, so admissions get more competitive.
