rejected from wesleyan ed and looking to add schools

Are your in-state public universities still accepting applications? These schools are typically good places to look for safety candidates. Your safety school(s) are the most important schools in your application list; they must be sure bets for both admissions and cost, and must be school(s) that you would like to attend.

Your stats may have gotten you a full out-of-state tuition scholarship at Alabama (3.5 GPA, 1400 SAT CR+M). Unfortunately, the deadline was December 1. Your stats also likely qualify for a big scholarship (Blazer Elite) at UAB, but they are given on a first come first serve basis, and it is rather late in the admissions cycle now.

Another option is to go to community college, take transferable courses which fulfill prerequisites to your desired major at the state flagship university, and then transfer there as a junior after getting good grades in community college.
