Brown…wowww…sighs enviously

I think I’ll stay in India- atleast my dad will be happy :p

I think I’ll stay in India- atleast my dad will be happy :p

I’m don’t think ill get into Pton, although i did get the FA email. Other colleges that contacted me about missing financial aid stuff accepted me: Claremont McKenna and Swarthmore. I also got into UCLA, Wesleyan, UCSD, and UCD. I’m pretty much happy with my options.
Cheers

oooh man this is so my thread. i was thinking this very thing after i got rejected back to back from yale and harvard after having an amazing winning streak, not getting rejected anywhere else (so of course i was a little more confident as i logged on the yale site) but then waaaaabamm. bang. bang. two down and I went “oh snap, HY doesnt like me… P?” so yeah, i dont know whether to go “no chance” because the other two most selective ivies shot me down that Princeton rubs elbows with or to have hope because all the other places I applied took me plus Princeton’s app, as mentioned, allowed for more expression of one’s persona which was a good thing for me. i really honestly dont know. it’s such a toss up. and I’m afraid to lean either way. and even more so I"m afraid to check the mail tomorrow but really want to get this over with now. sighs

I was the happiest man on this planet yesterday and today I am probably the saddest.

doll, Brown’s not bad, not bad at all understatement ; its Ivy League. granted if you’ve been dreaming of princeton or yale (me!) all your life, that doesnt help too much at the moment

Rejected at Yale and Penn.
But I got into MIT. That does make me happy.

Although, of course I am holding out for Princeton. Really, I think I would be much better at Princeton… hope I get something tomorrow…

Legend, I feel like you probably do, except instead of brown, it is mit.
Also, except open curriculum and a beautiful campus, I have a very tight, pre-planned curriculum and supposedely a butt-ugly campus…

:-/ I guess I could be happy there? It is a great school, I just hope it is for me…

lol it depends on the type of person you are I guess. I want a place where I can relax physically and go all-out mentally I suppose. I just know that Pton is going to eat me.

ah…the thread for me…i strongly empathize with all of you…

waitlisted at Harvard, Columbia, and Cornell, and rejected at Yale.

Princeton was my last hope, but seeing how I did not get good news today and I live so close, I’m expecting bad news tomorrow. I’m hoping to get waitlisted rather than outright rejected though. I’ve got Tufts, NYU, and TCNJ now though, and I shall make my decision based on fin aid packages, which will come in next week.

humph. there is this strange depressing feeling setting in.
I think I am feeling this same down-ness you are feeling today, Legend. Will I truely be happy, or am I just trying to convince myself that? Arg… and I really am still waiting on Pton. (Will I even really like Pton???) Yes, I actually caught myself thinking that. do I want to go more laid back? I got into UChicago today. I thought that was out of the picture, but… maybe not? Why do I want Ivy League anyway? (obviously, I have not had a good last-two days dealing with the Ivies…)

Humph. So, what now? I guess I wait for the official letter from NJ, and then reanalyze the situation. Maybe some college visits are in order? I have these horrible pre-conceived notions about these schools. I need to get off my butt and just go visit, and stop speculating.! Stop worrying! Just deal! Afterall, there is always grad school…

Sucharita, I know exactly how you feel, I got rejected from Duke, Harvard, Yale, and Georgetown SFS, Princeton is my LAST hope after being deferred ED. I hope I see a big, fat envelope from Princeton tomorrow in my mail box, and I hope everyone who is in the same situation gets the same! Good luck to you all, I wish everyone the best!

does fedex deliver on Saturdays and Sundays?

STILL no sticker on my door…oh well :)

thank you viogirl, good luck to you too and everyone else who’s still waiting to hear from Princeton

Everybody good luck!

good luck to you to i432
Or have you already got something?
Evidently there are quite a few admits from China this year…no mention of India though :(

sucharita, I haven’t heard anything yet.
I just wish everybody good luck. lol

Why would you say evidently there are quite a few admits from China? Really? I hope I would be one of them. :)

Congrats, Ivyboy05!

hehe because of this =>‘Nine percent of those admitted are international citizens from more than 46 countries, including Argentina, Bahrain, Bolivia, Brunei, China, Israel, Kenya, Mexico, New Zealand, Poland, Serbia and Montenegro, Sweden and Zimbabwe.’

OK so they don’t say LOTS of applicants but I just kinda assumed…oh well never mind :p

Thank you any way. ![]()
And Best Luck to U!

wow…so many people feeling the way i do…
hi to all of you
princeton is my last hope…i was rejected by harvard, cornell and dartmouth (and some others as well) and my sats aren’t stellar so i am SURE i don’t stand a chance, but i am still HOPING…stupid kid, am i not?
i hope that the interview was nice…she seemed really interested in some of my electives (i deal with linguistics which is not very popular, so they might want to add that to their diversity record:P)

whatever. i wish you all good luck!

just for the record: don’t expect fedex. it is sent by dhl and only to the internationals i think

ahhh princeton. what hope we all have.
I too was rejected by Harvard and Yale (deferred EA), and now it’s all pending on Princeton. Some of us will get in. Let me be amoung them PLEASE!
If not, it’s between Wash U and Northwestern, so I think I’ll still survive.

i’d just like to know so everyone i tell my results to won’t be like “oh, there’s still princeton and stanford…you never know”
