Rejection Letters

When considering size of envelopes, be advised that Penn State has, in the past, often sent out a large envelope if a student does not get accepted into MT but is a candidate for other majors at the school. I suppose there are in-state students who might actually want to go to PSU no matter the major. It’s a surprise to out-of-state students who are only interested in MT, however, when they find the big envelope is not always good news.
Also, parents who hover over CC often know in advance of their children if a rejection is on its way, because CC people get all excited when acceptances come out. Acceptances come often first by email or a phone call. So if you’ve heard on CC that acceptances for CCM for example are coming out, and your child hasn’t heard anything, you know it’ll be bad news later.
