Oh white kitchens come back regularly. But I remember the mid 80s when no one was doing traditional white kitchens. It was all oak or oak trim. I think they come closer to being timeless then most kitchen stuff! I agree with you Brass doorknobs, always in style (especially classy ones), and window pulls and hinges also fine, but brass sconces, faucets, and towel bars? Not so much.
I agree with @mathmom. I would get rid of brass faucets, light fixtures, and towel bars.
Re:the light fixtures…some depends on how much brass. My breakfast room light has a brass fitting, but it also has a white school house globe which really is the focal point. My foyer light is a huge glass thing with a small brass trim. Again, the brass doesn’t jump out at you like a brass chandelier might, or a brass will fitting would in a bathroom. I’m not replacing those lights!
But then…I’m not replacing my golden oak kitchen cabinets either. I love them…the next owner can replace them. And when I replaced appliances, I got white.
So really, consider the source here! I am nit exactly a “keep up with the latest trend” decorator.
As for “keep up with the latest trend” --they all cycle back. My parents kitchen was turquoise including the sink.
Now it’s in! (always did love the color!)
Shiny brass is likely not coming back - it is super impractical. It scratches, stains, and corrodes very easily.
