Repeating Junior Year to Qualify USAMO?

<p>This is anecdotal evidence, but pretty much all USAMO qualifiers I’ve known have been admitted to MIT. Including me, who am also an international student.</p>

<p>USAMO qualifiers are routinely rejected by MIT. In 2009, 3 out of 4 USAMO qualifiers posting their admission results on CC were rejected. I have personally interviewed USAMO qualifiers who were deferred EA and eventually rejected. It is simply not enough by itself. </p>
