My brother worked as a representative for his fraternity after graduating, where he was responsible for driving around and visiting a ton of chapters to be sure that they were behaving properly and wouldn’t do anything to get the organization in trouble. I know he said there were a number that he wouldn’t have joined if he had been at that school, and others he liked almost as much as his home one. It’s really the people that make up the organization more than the organization making up the people.

That said, the DDD’s at my school also had the reputation for being whores.

Last I checked, the engineering societies weren’t too offended by their “socially awkward and probably ugly nerd” reputation. Well, maybe the some of the girls would be, but that’s probably because they haven’t come to terms yet.

Thetas tend to be thin, blond Southern girls, right?

What about AKA, Chi Omega, Delta Gamma, Delta Sigma Theta, Kappa Delta, or Sigma Gamma Rho?

Poem:
Advice for life:
you can date each and every Kappa
But bring home a THETA for a wife.

You can party with the Tri-Delts,
and it’s fine to date a Zeta,
but when it’s time to marry,
be sure to find a THETA

Chi O’s can be on your agenda,
and Pi Phi’s are fun for a date,
but never, ever forget
that you’ll want a THETA as your mate.

We want you to enjoy your college years and give
all the sororities a spin.
But never buy a ring unless KAPPA ALPHA
THETA is on her pin.

During your four years of college, you’ll go from
one house to another,
but take the advice of your smiling ol’dad and bring
home a THETA to your mother.

Hmm, this actually interests me a little. What do you guys know about some of the less mentioned ones in your area: Phi Mu, Chi O, AChiO, ADPi, TriSig, GammaPhi and Zeta?

also, to the OP: i really don’t think that the opinions of random people (well, not even a random sampling at all) from an internet forum would be very valid research for a paper.

yea these are so diff at every school!!! where i am
DG =] gorgeous girls with class but still know how to party
KKG= still living off daddys credit card
Phi Mu= so so so diverse lot of pride but dont interact with other sororities
thetas= kinda old fashioned…barbara bush was a theta so…
DZ=…well…easy dz
A xi D= have like 13 girls in their chapter…never seen one out…ever
those are the most prodominant but for the most part we get a long really well

Pi Phi - Beautiful, I mean really beautiful, rich blondes, can be kind of snobby, weathly, out of state,

Delta Gamma - “delta gramma”, drug usage, pretty girls who like to get down and party

Chi 0mega - pretty, nice, some are stuious, some are just so-so

2nd tier:

Theta - some good looking, more athletic, some are more money conscious

Kappa - mixed bag, if you can’t get into Pi Phi, DG, XO, or Theta then they go kappa or drop out. Some drug use, some good-looking, some birkenstock types, some studious

3rd tier:

The rest, Alpha Phi, Tri Delt, AOPi, Gamma Phi are all sort of the same.
