I read that the resnet fee is for when you connect in your dorm with an ethernet cable and even if you don’t pay for resnet you can still use the wifi at BU. This is from the BU wesbite: “Generally there are no charges to use non-residential network services. Students living in the residences must have paid the ResNet Fee before connecting to the WIRED network in one of the residences.” That is why I was wondering if students just use the internet wherever they find wifi or do students also mainly use the internet with wired connections in their dorm.
