My daughter’s favorite teacher went to St. Augustine and she is still a wonderful influence on my DD. I am always pulling for that school. I hope they can find a way out of it.

Qatar is currently the major funder of Sunni Islamist terrorist organizations in the Arab world. It is to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood as Saudi Arabia was to Al-Qaeda; even more so, because Qatar openly funds and supports these organizations.
So many! Apparently multiple leaders of top universities all hopped on the “we need a branch campus in Qatar” bandwagon.
This does not look good for Concordia University especially that they are telling students to look for other options for the fall

Not sure how this is an accredited university but seems close to closing after being placed on probation
It was started in 1997, and became regionally accredited (by WASC) in 2016.
Being a for-profit school does not preclude getting regional accreditation. Some well known for-profit schools have regional accreditation (e.g. University of Phoenix and DeVry University).
It seems they went for the accreditation to sell the university.

Falling enrollment and increasing regulation is what will end a lot of small schools in the near future. It’s sad, but it should not be surprising. It takes a lot to run a school, and low enrollment does not necessarily decrease administrative load.

I tried to figure out what is going on there, but it is difficult to find a succinct explanation. Financial fraud, poor academic offerings/outcomes, accreditation issues. Ugh. Sounds like closing the school is a good thing in this case.
