<p>Re Bistro 110:

Bistro 110, a Gold Coast fixture since 1987, will bid adieu to Chicago on Aug. 4. The venerable bistro is making room for a new concept, led by chef Tony Mantuano (Spiaggia, Terzo Piano).</p>

<p>The as-yet-unnamed restaurant, aiming for a September debut, will feature small-portioned, lighter dishes suitable for a quick bite with a nice glass of wine.

<p>I haven’t been in the city lately to anywhere really nice, but really liked MK last year. Loved Les Nomades several years ago.</p>

<p>If you like Quartino, try Osteria Via Stato, which is across the street and has wonderful food served family-style, so you can try many dishes.</p>

<p>I won’t miss Bistro 110, except for the brie-stuffed artichoke with pommery butter. Mon Ami Gabi is my choice for the best French bistro food in the city. Bistrot Margot is also very good.</p>
