Retake a 4?

After you come up with a list of schools you are applying to, check to see if any of them accept a 5 but not a 4 in that test for placement and/or credit that you may find useful (this may also be dependent on what major you do). If you are likely to attend a school where it makes a difference, then you may want to try for a 5. Otherwise, don’t bother.

This would be the only good reason to retake a 4. Obviously a 4 isn’t as good as a 5, but it’s still way above average. I got a 4 on APUSH last year.</p>
