You need to budget for a full 8 years, where the last 4 are expensive. You should avoid debt for your bachelor’s degree. It would be even better if you can keep some $$ in your college fund for medical school.
Also, pre-med classes will be very challenging. Any “top 100” university is going to have pre-med classes full of very strong students.
To me this implies that you might want your college search to be “boring”, in the sense that a solid in-state public university where you are in the top 1/2 of accepted students might be a good plan.
