OP’s parents are divorced. Pell grants are based solely on FAFSA, which includes the financials of the custodial parent only (for now).
Any schools that require NCP financials via CSS profile (or other mechanism) will result in a higher expected financial contribution from OP’s family members. I don’t think OP has answered sybbie’s question re: if either parent is remarried.
I don’t think this has been mentioned on this thread, but starting in 2024-25 the parent who provides more support, regardless of custodianship, will be in FAFSA, so it looks like OP could lose Pell grant status.
