If you are familiar with Baltimore, I don’t think you’ll find Memphis to be a problem. Rhodes is GORGEOUS, and across the street from a huge city park (designed by the same guy who did Central Park).
No-one has mentioned it, but if you’re in Atlanta anyway, strong recommendation that you check out Agnes Scott … right near Emory …

We received some mails from the college about safety and are wondering what the current views are on this topic…
What kind of mail? Are you on their safety system and it was the - there’s been a crime near campus, lock down. Those happen, especially when in a city.
Or an overall like - before you come, here’s what can be expected as we are in Providence?
On Niche, they get an A- for safety - which is higher than most every other school I’ve seen. I know it’s not a perfect rating and it’s only as good as it’s methodology - but that’s much higher than most.
Not safe outside of the campus.
Some incidents on campus, but most involve theft.
