<p>My parents never came to visit me or even thought about doing so, so kudos to you for being so caring! But if they did, I don’t think it really would have made a difference for me. I didn’t have a car, so it would be nice if they rented a zipcar or drove a car here. It’d be nice if they took me and my roommate and suitemates out for dinner/brunch. It would also be great if they can sit in on classes and seminars and notice my performance in them. Although I imagine all of this is subjective. Someone who’s not doing well in school probably won’t like that. But for me, I think what’s most important is the gratification from seeing my parents being happy for me and being proud of my achievements.</p>
