<p>Yeah I’m so anxious! I had my interview in October and I don’t think it went that well since I was so nervous just because I love Rice so much. Does anyone have any input if they know people that had bad interviews and got in, or they know from a Rice interviewer if it matters all that much? Thanks.</p>
<p>From what I’ve read, Esther shows results on the 15th. But letters I believe are mailed out the Friday before the 15th. Unfortunately for us that’s only the 14th, so we’ll probably all hear from Esther before snail mail.
I just remember reading one year when the Friday before the 15th was like the 10th, so some people ended up finding out prior to the 15th. That won’t be the case for us, sadly :/</p>
<p>4 Days, 3 Hours, and 5 minutes… I can still remember I made by countdown clock and it was something like 50 days, wow this is exciting, I’m going to be freaking out so much. For the rest of the week I’m going to have to here about acceptances and rejections. I just need time to go by faster.</p>

<p>I heard the decisions are sometimes released a day or two before. Any validity to that? Because I might be freaking out a little bit.</p>
<p>Yeah that’s the same reason I was asking! I can’t stop thinking about Saturday and I keep checking ESTHER hoping for some miraculous reason that there will be a decision there! People from either last year’s forum or maybe the year before said it came out a few days early but I think that has to do with how close the 15th falls to a Friday or something.</p>
<p>I found this thread from last year and someone said people found out the 9th or 10th in 2010 but I don’t get how that’s possible if they release the scores at 5 pm CST on the 15th.</p>

<p>I wouldn’t count on any sort of early notification
In 2006 the 15th fell on a Saturday and people weren’t notified until right at the Dec 15th deadline. Things could change, I suppose, but I doubt we’ll know until Saturday =/</p>

It just so happens that for us, that’s only the 14th, so we’ll hear from Esther before snail mail gets to us. So my guess is that the people who found out early found out from their physical letter</p>
<p>Does anyone know if Rice sends physical rejection letters, as well? Or do they only mail you a letter if it’s an acceptance? I’m asking because I would rather not have my parents intercept the letter before I do if it’s a rejection, you know what I mean?</p>

<p>@kaleidotroph, no it’s just that the link CollegeBound posted is to the page for admitted students, they made it already so anyone can see it, but if you actually get in, you’ll get a link to it. On that page it says Dec. 14th.</p>
