<p>If you have something compelling to say in terms of a cultural aspect, then write it. But don’t focus on culture just because it was suggested. If you feel like you would have to try to force the culture essay out, then don’t do it. Neither should you try to be unique. I mean you ARE unique, so there’s no sense in trying too hard because trying too hard comes through in the writing. The essay will sound forced.</p>
<p>Personally, I had a lot of trouble with this essay too. I had stayed up a couple of nights to write it, hoping that sleep deprivation would wring something out of me. That didn’t work. A couple of days ago, I locked myself outside until I finished it. As luck would have it, Texas weather was particularly bipolar that day, and it alternately rained and shined. But it apparently worked.</p>
