<p>I am SO NERVOUS. I am literally going insane waiting for this decision, refreshing my email every ten seconds. Rice is a TOTAL reach school for me & I would be incredibly surprised if I got in, but I just NEED to know. I feel like decisions may come out this Friday, since Carnegie Mellon is doing the same.</p>

<p>I’m just going to assume they’re coming out on April 1st now, and if they come beforehand, I’ll be surprised, because it doesn’t matter if we freak out now about it, since they’ve already made their decisions.</p>
<p>The university has announced that it’ll hold an online chat for RD admitted students on the 27th. Rice will likely release decisions on or before the 27th. Any date after that will surprise me greatly because it wouldn’t make sense.</p>

<p>I agree with Tristesse. They can’t have an online chat for RD admitted students on the 27th… and notify after the 27th. If admissions is closed Thursday and Friday, my best guess would be that the decisions will come out Monday the 26th – unless they can send out the emails while the office is closed.</p>

<p>ndude, obviously speculating won’t make it come any faster, but it’s fun. I’m glad that you’re so chill about this but some of us aren’t.</p>
<p>Yeah we know it’s unnecessary to worry so much about the decision, but if the school is your top choice, we really can’t help it! We’re only a high school senior haha :p</p>

<p>If I had to guess (this is completely coming from me, so don’t take my speculation for truth), I would say the decisions will be coming out by the 25th at the latest, and I would probably think the 23rd is a more likely date. Last year, the admitted students chats were held with some time after the decisions were released, because I was only halfway through a service trip in New Orleans when I got the acceptance letter on my phone. I had more than enough time to finish the trip, get home, settle back in, and go to school for a couple days before the chats took place. So I would imagine they are going to leave some time between the notification and the chat so that accepted students can make plans to join the chat if they so desire.</p>

<p>I definitely wouldn’t expect it, so don’t wait at your computers refreshing your email. But I suppose it’s a possibility.</p>
<p>To qualify my last statement, another thing that would make the 23rd a more likely date is the fact that it’s a Friday, while the 25th is a Sunday, and although they could set a time/date for the emails to be sent out automatically and everything, it would honestly just make more sense to have decisions released on a Friday because it’s the end of the week.</p>

<p>uh…I’m not quite sure what you mean, but for the day wise, it’s been pretty random. Regarding the time, I heard it has been 7:30 EDT though.</p>
