Okay I understand the find command on the inspect but can someone tell me which page we were inspecting the code on? Was it checklist page or the “my account” page or which page on the portal?
i doubt the decision would be hard coded into the website
Yeah I doubt so too but it happened at a few lower tier schools I was later accepted to
Release time seems so long from now so I’m going to go distract myself. Good luck everyone!
So I tried the inspect code thing and I might be rejected.
So I searched for accept, accepted, waitlist, reject, and rejected.
I found multiple accept but I believe they were part of the code commands. I found one rejected that was in quotation marks.
I was checking this before 12 cst. As I am checking it again now, the file/link I was looking into that was under Apply is now gone and I no longer can find any of the above terms I searched for.
My withdraw button is gone too.
We applied RD and don’t have the WL button.
Mom OPINION:
No withdraw option means Rice has made a decision and has entered it in your portal to release; you are either accepted or denied.
Withdraw option; you are waitlisted and have the option to stay on their waitlist or withdraw your application.
Okay I just saw that there’s 600+ messages. Is it all about the withdraw button or are there other factors?
some people saw some html that supposedly had their decision, that’s been patched
Were they able to read their decision ?
\The only other weird thing that happened was that some people were able to click on dates to set a financial aid meeting. When dates were clicked on, some got “access denied” and others got “registration not yet available”
(Rice has since fixed this on the site and now no one can see clickable dates)
I can no longer see any date for financial meeting, does anyone else have the same?It was working this morning
same for all
Nooo I was gone for a class period and they alr fixed it😭
acceptance rate predicted to be around 7% in total?
Rice’s IT team must be having fun today
You’re not in spring break? The waiting will be over within couple hours.
Kudos to them for how fast possible indications have been fixed. Portal myths, though sometimes helpful, are quite nerve racking. I don’t think any applicant, regardless of their final decision, deserves such anxiety. Simply put, why not calmly enjoy the remaining hours before the final ecstasy/disappointment that accompanies officially decisions?
I can’t see the meetings anymore
They were there an hour before this thi
