<p>When you talk about Texas having a higher rank in computer science than Rice you’re talking about the rankings of PHD programs, which are largely based on research output. Obviously Rice has a disadvantage there because it’s much smaller and less graduate focused. With that in mind, I find it pretty impressive that Rice is as high on that list as it is. But that’s really irrelevant, because you’re looking into an undergraduate education. At that level, I think it’s pretty hard to beat Rice.</p>
