Laurie Hernandez will compete beam - in event finals only. For AA only 2 per country so Biles and Raisman compete
Only two per country in the individual all around. Gabby finished 3rd in the prelims but will not get to defend her individual Olympic title.
Be that as it may, I still think he has the brain power of a bag of bricks.

OMG. Kazakstan, a landlocked country, wins its first Olympic swimming gold.

Just watched the Kazakh kid swim. OMG. A gold medal from Lane 8 does not happen often.
Been sort of out of the loop in the last 24 hours, so was trying to catch up tonight on Olympic news; evidently there is a huge controversy about Gabby Douglas not putting her hand over her heart during the playing of the national anthem (which drives me nuts because when I was growing up, the ONLY thing you ever put your hand over your heart for was the pledge of allegiance - now it’s some sort of litmus test for how patriotic you are), but people in this article (and commenters) did not have a problem with Michael Phelps cracking up throughout the national anthem.
So sad that she’s being called out.
