RIP Dick Clark

17 Barron Philly was integrated in the early 60’s, check out the 63-64 classroom and later, and I don’t think Rizzo was yet commissioner.

Wynnewood might have been integrated in the 60’s, but in 2000, it was 92.9%white.

It was either this or The Jetsons.

Integration aside, Wynnewood is not Philadelphia.

Rizzo didn’t become Commisioner until the late 60’s, '68 or '69.

ek, I’m usually one of the first to moan about celebrities being extravagant when they could be doing something great with that money… but that house is freakin’ awesome.

The fact that the animal appliances are not included made the house a non-starter for me, EK!

Wynnewood and Phila. schools were integrated at the same time, as I recall. Wynnewood is a Philly suburb. EK, when first integrated I’m sure it was less than in 2000!

^^remember the Flintstones doorbell?? Wasn’t it a mini dinosaur or something like that…sorry to digress!

Someone on the radio said today that if not for Dick Clark…Soul Train, MTV, and possibly walkmans and iTunes/iPods etc would not exist…kind of a stretch, but interesting…

parent1986, I realize it’s a suburb. My point is that Wynnewood isn’t typically representative of the city itself.

Does this mean he won’t be on New Year’s Rockin Eve? :(

As creepy as it sounds, he could be there- er, his “hologram” could be there. Look at what happened with Tupac.

Those things creep me out. Let the dead rest in peace.

29 You’d be surprised. There were areas in Phila. that weren’t predominantly poor and African American in the 50s and 60s. Overbrook, Wynnfield and parts of Center City are a few. There are more.

According to our local paper in high school he was voted “Most likely to sell the Brooklyn Bridge!”
