This is a favorite moment of mine, a bit beyond my time, from the Dick Cavett Show. This video features Dick Cavett and Raquel Welch and Janis Joplin in June 1970, just a few month before Janis died.
The combination of the two is amazing in its own right. But the personalities of both Raquel and Janis really come out.
In addition, I think the other guests that Cavett had with Racquel and Janis were Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. and tennis great Pancho Gonzales. All at the same time. I can’t find that video right now.
What an insanely eclectic panel that Dick Cavett assembled, but this is submitted to show the strength and beauty (in every sense of that word) of two great stars, Raquel and Janis.
