Reflection
Strengths: Essay, ECs, commitment to music
Weaknesses:
Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: Good essay (related to music), strong music background for specialty program.
Where else were you accepted/deferred/rejected:
Accepted: Northeastern, Drexel, Syracuse, Elon, American
Waiting: USC
Rejected: U Miami (Showed no interest and just applied at the last minute, but their music biz program is part of the conservatory and requires an audition, which I didn’t get)
General Comments: Showed a lot of interest - visited from CA, on-campus interview, got to know the regional rep (all of that stuff really helps). He applied to a new, interdisciplinary major so that probably helped him b/c not too much interest in it yet. UofR was a low reach for him, but we are happy he got in. However, he got merit aid from other schools, so that may tip the scales since we do not qualify for fin aid.
