No, they do not upload their letter to every college in the Common App. I don’t know who you’ve heard that from, but that’s flat out wrong. Your teachers upload their letters, once. Then, you can pick and choose which colleges will receive which letter.
You obviously have received a lot of wrong information and neglect all the good advices and official guidelines. You choose to believe what you “heard” instead of what CommonApp said. LOL.
Sorry. My response was to CValle.
I could see you are trying to be modest in your replies. But, imo, it is a matter of experience. Not age, per se, though along with the terms student or applicant, I often write teen or kid to reflect the reality that this group is younger.
You’re from Canada? I’m not clear where, but teachers generally have resources for this. Or colleagues, somewhere, to turn to. There’s usually not a language barrier. They presumably went to college, have written plenty of correspondence as adults. And have sent other students off to university.
At first, I thought you must be in some unusual country.
There will be a great, vast number of apps from Canada, many qualified applicants. Many will find a spot in a top US college, relying on their teachers to write good LoRs, waiving Ferpa.
Honestly, the time could be better spent.
