<p>I love that the speaker chosen FOR Harvard students by a committee is the president of Liberia and the speaker chosen BY Harvard students is … Amy Poehler.</p>
<p>Colbert gave a speech on campus a few years ago. It wasn’t a convocation speech, but it was a lot of fun (and I’m assuming more fun than one could have if they were giving a convocation speech)</p>
<p>Meryl Streep gave an incredible speech at Barnard a year or two ago. If you can imagine ever wanting to voluntarily listen to a graduation speech, this would be the one. It’s on Youtube.</p>
<p>oh, and Ali G was the student choice at Harvard. Also worth listening too, but obviously not for inspiration.</p>
<p>As a January 2011 graduate, I can safely say that I won’t be attending…now if we had Stephen Colbert, I’d be there in a heartbeat. :p</p>
