Rugby and Soccer question(s)

If you click on the following link and then select sports, you will see all the NCAA sports at Iowa:
[University of Iowa Official Athletic Site :: Women’s Soccer](http://www.hawkeyesports.com/sports/w-soccer/iowa-w-soccer-body.html)

I believe any other sports would be a club team (in addition to intramural sports, of course). Club sports can be quite high-level, yet are not as demanding on the student athlete in terms of commitment. Of course the club sport athletes do not get university support either, so it is really more for fun.

It is not unusual for schools to not have all sports, as they are quite expensive (scholarships, coaches, and facilities are all needed), and there are a lot of NCAA sports. For example, many schools do not have ice hockey, men’s volleyball, lacrosse, rowing, etc. Iowa seems to have women’s soccer but not men’s soccer.
