Rutgers University New Brunswick Early Action for Fall 2024

I did it on both the application status page and the main portal page and the main portal page didn’t really show up as anything useful. When I did the applicant portal and searched “Deferred” it came up with 30 results

I also see that, curious if other people have something different

I asked a couple friends who also applied to check, one of them mentioned that it could be a coding term

Nothing comes up when I type deferred

nothing in the main portal page for me either. But when you click “My applications” in the top right and I search the source code of that page it comes up

In the source, do a CTRL+F to search for “Congratulations”. Do you see a message “Congratulations on your admission!” ?

Yes. I also see “congratulations on your enrollment!” Which I assume you get after you pay the deposit fee and set up everything to attend Rutgers which obviously no one has done yet. The congrats on admission message could be a similar thing. Idk if it means anything.

Also, a lot of the messages that have “admit” in them look very promising unless everyone has them.

Does anyone see any additional colleges turn up on their “My Applications” page? We did not see a third choice till yesterday, but see it now.

I think it’s been there for a while, at least for me.

What does this do?

Pulls up the source code for the page. Nothing dangerous or sketchy

Sorry I’m a bit slow lol but does this mean anything like what’s the point?

I am seeing “Congratulation on your admissions” as well as “honor_c” keyword.

I see the congratulations message, and the honors_c as well (in the code). FWIW, my D24 did not apply to honors program, so my guess is all of this stuff is not specific to the candidate, just scripts that depend on the right “if” variable. Just my take.

So it’s not accurate then?

I’m just guessing and I’m not a programmer, but it seems to me, the page is full of dynamic scripts that display based on contingencies. Meaning, the “congratulations” message is behind the scenes for all applicants. It only gets triggered to display when something, somewhere is switched so that the page know it is displaying to an accepted applicant.

To answer your above question, in my opinion, it doesn’t mean anything. I’d be happy to be wrong, though!

Does anyone else’s application still say that is submitted and it hasn’t moved to the under review section yet?

Yes, my S24 has had his application “submitted” for 3 months without it going into “review.”

What is this means ?

My DD already has Newark acceptance back in Nov. idk why they added Camden we don’t like this campus. We prefer New Brunswick campus.
