If you’re worried about theft while in route, can’t you just slap a biohazard sticker on it and label it “stool sample?” At least that used to work to keep my dad out of the Christmas cookies in the freezer. (My mom was a medical technologist.)
Except that a real stool sample would be in a special envelope (by regulation) addressed to a medical lab.
