Here is the timeline for the last 2 years and there have been some Engineering admits already posted.
2023: Early admits starting January 24 and a few admits trickling out throughout February. Some auditions based majors heard on March 14. Rolling admission wave starting March 16 and 17th. Waitlists posted March 17. Denials posted Monday March 20, 2023.
2022:
Early admits started December 15, 2021 over a few days. Rare early admits posted in early January 2022. Regular admission trickle starting March 8, 2022 followed by a larger admit wave on March 11. Some Waitlisted and Denials starting March 17.

Actually - I had my daughter check her portal and she was admitted!! I think she needs to be admitted in Dance program too but she is excited to be admitted at SDSU.

No, regardless of your status for the Honors college, it will not affect your regular decision.
SDSU does not consider alternate majors.
