Plus a 4.5 CSU capped weighted GPA is not possible unless you round up since the maximum possible CSU GPA is 4.4 or unless the student is taking at less than 5 a-g courses/year in 10-11th which would also put them at a disadvantage.
Looping back with stats for the benefit of those just starting the journey. I know the info on this site has been so helpful to our family as we navigated the college app journey for our two kids. Happy to pay it forward!
I want to give huge props to Forum Champions like @Gumbymom who crunch the numbers and patiently post fact sheets and stats to help all of us stay sane! Thank you!!!

Congrats! When did you hear?
Your daughter should be proud about getting into SLO (also three other very good programs). SLO is quite the achievement. Low single-digit acceptances for most of the more-impacted majors ie engineering, sciences, architecture, business, etcā¦
100% should be proud. Ironically, I happen to know a kid that was feeling the same way but in the inverse. As thrilled as he was to be in SDSU but disappointed to not hear from Poly.
Big get on her part. Awesome.
Anyone know if any other acceptance waves for nursing came out yet other than the one on March 5th? Still havenāt heard back and Iām starting to get concerned.
We havenāt heard back, yet, either. Crossing fingersā¦
same!
LOVE this story! Congrats to your daughter and thank you SO much for sharing!
March 7
We are also still waiting.
We are waiting for pre-nursing as well!
Okay thanks. I double checked with my daughter and she said her two friends definitely applied as pre nursing.
It seems SDSU didnāt accept anyone from waitlists in 2022-23, though accepted 326 in 2021-22.
Possibly as itās becoming more popular. 2023-24 data not yet available.
S24 eagerly waiting for decision this year.
May I remind posterās that this is the SDSU discussion thread and if you want to discuss alternate school options and give recommendations, then a new discussion thread should be started.
Thank you.
I have started a new discussion thread since my post did not seem to deter posters from continuing their alternate school conversations. https://talk.collegeconfidential.com/t/school-options-since-sdsu-admission-may-not-be-in-the-cards/
will there be another wave of acceptances this week? or do u think they are done?
I am sure there will another wave of decisions, if they include more acceptances, I cannot predict.
I still have not heard of anyone getting their bio decisions
I think a few bio majors got in during early wave in December/January, but I havenāt heard of any during the March wave. Perhaps SDSU did not release a larger decision wave yet? My D24 is also waiting on biology decision. Good luck to you! Hope we hear something soon.
