Decisions are out, indeed. Daughter accepted and she is very pleased! Not a lot of merit award, but that’s OK.
My son’s in with good merit aid! Yay! Congratulations, all!
My daughter is IN! She is very pleased and excited!

@Parent1973. My daughter received a bit of merit, but nothing like the posters above indicate that they received. Daughter has a 3.6 GPA and she did NOT submit her SAT score. It was a gamble to leave out the SAT, but we took them at their word that they are truly test-optional. We were not expecting much merit, or for her to even get admitted to be honest. Pleasant surprise.
Also, we are from California. Excellent Public high school.
Our daughter was accepted as well! She is thrilled to be a future Gryphon.
West Coast, recruited athlete, strong academics, several honors and AP classes, extra-curricular activities. Strong merit aid package!
I think what’s great about SLC is that merit can come from talent in the arts–not just from GPAs and APs and standardized test scores. I love how much SLC values the arts. Good luck, all.
D20 Accepted EA with $35k Presidential merit.
3.8 GPA, 33 ACT. No APs offered at school
Fairly rigorous courseload (6 major classes senior year: Latin V, Advanced Stats, Advanced Bio, Env Science, English, Senior Art Studio, Poetry Workshop)
Track and Cross Country, no other standout ECs
We were pleasantly surprised by the merit. D20 definitely enjoyed her on campus interview and connected with both student interviewer and admissions rep.
