**SAT 2 Literature Discussion Thread Oct 2015**

Worrying that only three mistakes get you down to 790… Given most of my answers seem well corroborated, I’m hoping that that’s the case…

I’m thinking around -5. I’ll be happy with anything higher than a 740 as I already have 2 strong subject tests and this one is probably only going to Georgetown - unless I did very well.

for the question that asked what the “caves” and “glens” meant what did u guys say

Foreshadowing betrayal or adding to the central metaphor for the last poem??

@nsliyromanov I said developing the central metaphor

You are all in violation of College Board policy by discussing today’s test and specific questions. You need to stop.

@potterismylife I put that it symbolized loneliness/need for affection and love (can’t remember the exact phrasing).

So are you guys sure that her remains are her children? I put “body” like a derp, because for some reason I thought it was actually literal (a grave mistake for SAT poetry). I feel like since she told the husband not to let his new wife harm the children (which she referred to literally), she would mean “remains” literally.

yeah it was definitely her children

What did you guys use to prepare yourself for the test?

@idealni1 As far as I know, this test is the hardest to prepare for, as there is really only 1 true practice test for it (CB’s). Barron’s and the others have poor imitation tests that are too hard or too obscure and don’t really prepare you for the real thing. I basically didn’t prepare, other than reading about some literary terms. You just have to read for your whole life and take literature classes, I suppose.
