SAT May 2009 Writing

I said the same as Computerized. “preference from two” sounds very off- it should be preference of two or something

^The answer with “which” didn’t sound quite right… “preference from two” didn’t sound right either, but overall the answer sounded better, imo, than the other one (c, i think)

Can someone who did not have a writing experimental say what their passage was about?

I had a shakespear and one about his mexican heritage.

I erased and switched my choice between c and e at least 3 times.

what about the mating call or something carries far; was “one another” correct?

yea the two writing sections were shakespeare and gum…can someone that only had one 25 min writing section say which one of theseo two topics they remember?

I had CR experimental, and had the spakespeare. Didn’t have gum

I still think preference is right, despite the “preference of”
The other choice still more wrong than “preference from”

Gum? Oh boy. I don’t remember anything about gum!

I remember the Shakespeare one. Vaguely.

Ari - the answer was preference from and the other one was loosing.

I had a passage about a kid comparing his parents to the author of a book that he read.
And I had a shakespeare passage. Dont about gum, what was it about?

oh good haha…the Writing experimental with the gum was hard! the shakespeare one was definitely easier haha

So no one had the immigrant farmer’s passage?

Does anyone with the gum experimental remember if that was your first section? I think it was (I’m hoping!), but I’m not sure…

I had mexican farmer. That was an experimental, which is good, because it was really hard.

ok *** was up with the “my aunt annoyed the plantation tour guide” one?
There was one question that really bothered me throughout the whole test.

It was asking which way to best correct the sentence that went something like this: “The tour guide noticed my aunt’s silence. He turned to my aunt. Who said the rock had been part of her family cemetery. The tour guide did not know much about the cemetery. My aunt shook his hand and thanked him. blah blah blah”

The farmer passage is the first one.

^I didn’t have the aunt one.

^ Who cares man, it’s experimental.

Wait, can you describe the farmer passage? I’m not remembering one about a farmer… but I could be blanking out.

yea mary, i had the gum one first section, but I think it was experimental since all of us seem to have the shakespeare one in common…so no worries.
