SAT May 2012 Official Discussion

for judging the experimental, is it the same number section for everyone just different when it comes to whether it was a reading writing or math?
(for example is it like section 6 was experimental for everyone?) or could it have been all different sections for people

lol i changed it from pattern of behavior to beginning of conflict

GUYS! which CR section was experimental?!

 • texting affecting writing/literacy
 • girl who got a book, a doll house, and a doll
 • solar system/Gene Shoemaker
 • dancer majoring in art history

also, someone said something about a passage about fluoride in water… i didn’t have that one so i’m not sure what to think…

its probably fluoride in water

@noble6 are you sure?

did you have that section?

no, and i had writing experimental

There were two experimental CRs

Something about venice

Two passages about fluoride in water

pretty sure. There wasn’t any conflict, and it did not CONDONE the neglect.

none of these are experimental i believe

Anyone remember the passage about the dancer/art major and the question asked what “solid” meant in the context of the passage?

Hey, everyone. Hope you all did well today! I’m trying to figure out which experimental I had. I’m thinking math as there was a section I had trouble with 4 questions on. Anyone else have math exp??

how is it possible that none of those passages are experimental? i’m guessing maybe two of them were in one section together…?

@noble6
I had the dancer one. I chose ‘unchanging’. It said about how art was a solid business or something like that.

solid meant substantial i think

There were (at least) THREE CR experimentals:

Fluoride (2 passages)

Venice

Creativity

Dancer, Presents, Solar System, and Texting were all real.

Yeah, that’s the question. I thought it was prudent because painting was more economically sound and had a better future.

@noble6
Which question was this?

Asked what “solid” meant in context. It was talking about how painting was a “solid” business, but dancing was not

@noble6 what did you put down?
