SAT Subject Test- Biology Thread

depends on who took it

It should be the same. The curve is pre-set.

which one was the control dish. the one with the different kind?

I thought it was the same one, A?

i put E, the one with different E.coli, also the haploid/diplod genes in the chromosome was 18 or 36? i put 36

Reading the other thread, the control was dish I.

The chromosome one was 36.

Did you guys take E or M? I took M but I left 2 blank :T

M, didn’t leave any blank.

I took M.

What was the spindle/chromosomes one? No one knew the answer from the past thread. What did you guys put?

I put the, for the microneedle question, spindles stretch out? Whatever that answer was, I can’t remember it anymore. The chromosomes one I put 36.

I put that they pull from both sides since one side was cut and the chromosome then moved to the other side. And when a new fiber grew, the chromosome returned to the middle. I’m 75% sure this time. I got it wrong last time. hahaha. Good thing I canceled last time.

“pull from both sides” i think thats what I put. I can’t be too sure without the actual answer choices.

I want to cancel :frowning: ugh. Ooh, for the FH (follicle hormone) and LH question, was it ovules? I figured since it led to ovulation, but I’m not too sure.

Ovaries. Yup, that’s right.

That was still an interesting test, despite the fact that it’s my second try at the stupid exact same thing. I skipped this time, instead of guessing on a bunch like I did last time. PRAYING for 780-760 right now… I went into the testing room thinking I’d cancel anyway since I studied for like 10 minutes xD Maybe I won’t.

Oh yeah I thought of another one. The flower one about pollination and the pollen tube?

What were the answer choices? I don’t remember it very well.

i forgot what i put for that one… what was it?

deff was not pollen tube and ovaries.

Oh, and the enzyme experiment. Was it the “keeping the enzymes cool to prevent denaturation” answer for what should be controlled during the experiment?

thats what i put, cause higher temp. denatures them, so that was the only answer choice that made sense.

Okay good. What was the one for asexual reproduction? The other thread said it was mutations are not passed on. Is that what you put? I don’t remember what I put at all. Hahaha.
