I’m not sure about the new SAT since I didn’t take it, but if you’ve gotten a 1500+ on a practice test before, take the SAT. I always had the opinion that there wouldn’t be enough practice tests to achieve a high score, so I opted for the ACT. I personally would try the ACT first (August) then the SAT (September). Study for both, and if your ACT score is good enough, just cancel the September administration of the SAT.
