<p>Although it’s not impossible that there were scoring errors (and isolated errors are ALWAYS possible), it looks like most October test takers had their scores impacted by a particularly brutal scoring curve. Incorrect answers had a significantly greater impact than they have had on other recent tests.</p>

My guess would be that CB deemed this test to have been exceptionally easy - so they compensated by making the curve much more harsh than usual. So, getting even one or two wrong had a much greater impact than any of us anticipated.</p>
