<p>I actually love timed writes - i’ve done much more in my high school career than ones that aren’t timed. </p>
<p>I can be a bit of a procrastinator sometimes…and it’s nice to have timed writes where everyone has the SAME amount of time to finish the essay. </p>
<p>I also like the way I write when it’s timed…I go straight to the point and don’t BS. </p>
<p>I think it’s kind of like two separate issues - how you write under a time crunch/address the prompt (generally these aren’t creative writes anyway) and how good your creative writing/fluency is when you have all the time in the world.</p>
