DH got over his funk and we’re having a wonderful cruise. Great weather and good ports. About to get off in Cozumel next hour.

First day of daughter’s staycation (because vacation got cancelled) was a disaster. I really hope the rest of the weekend works out.
I started cryiing at the airport Thursday, as I waited in a wheelchair to board my flight. A woman came off the arriving flight in a wheelchair and sat for 15 minutes, waiting for an employee to push her to baggage claim. She became impatient, hopped out of the wheelchair, grabbed her luggage, and briskly walked away.
The 23-y.o. cousin of one of my best friends died in this crash. Hard to bear.

I’m hiding in my office because I have no more mental energy and I just can’t deal with my employees anymore today. We had to let seven people go, they just found out today, and I’m out of emotional bandwidth to help or absorb any more.
Broke down in tears at my annual physical today. Menopause is tough. Along with impending empty nest and aging parents and in-laws. She prescribed sleep and exercise and a plan to get each of these things. A slight HRT tweak too. I am a little more hopeful after my appointment.

Sitting here, on the deck of our over water bungalow in Bora Bora…listening to the music our neighbors are playing on their deck. Usually this would irritate me!
But…The Cars, The Ramones, Talking Heads, Fleetwood Mac. It’s like someone cloned me.

When my kids were much younger, we watched Avatar: The Last Airbender religiously when it was on cable TV. The Avatar movie was pathetic, but this live action series of it on Netflix is spot on with the animated series. It’s great! And it has me all in the feels.

No drama, no trauma. Our 90 year old Auntie passed away last night. She literally went to bed and did not wake up. We should all be so lucky. She lived a long and fruitful life. Dementia took part of her away the last couple of years, and we are relieved that none of us had to shepherd her along through a lengthy battle. Hug your loved ones.
