Say it Here ‘Cause You Can’t Say it Directly—The Get it Off Your Chest Thread (NO REPLIES TO OTHER POSTS)

I am really trying to stay informed, but it makes my heart hurt.

Why are there 35 pages of instructions on four different forms if you are just going to say “if there is a code Q in box 7” none of those apply at all? Maaaayyyybe put that at the top of the other four forms? That’s 40 minutes I will never get back.

Museums are making it so hard to plan trips. Why must I buy a timed ticket within a half hour for my entry? Suppose I get stuck in traffic, or I want to linger at the place I was at before the museum. I want to go back to buying a ticket just for a specific day.

Please stop posting unsubstantiated rumors (not CC related). People trust you because of your role and it only makes things worse when you use “a coworker’s friend’s sister’s cousin” as a source for incendiary claims. The truth is bad enough, you don’t need to feed the rumor mill.

They aren’t called “bottomings” for a reason – toppings go on top.

Why oh why did they have to decide to build that ADU next door. A year of daily constant noise.

So there, state of Maine. My neighbor is a state representative and happened to see my Facebook post where I complained about DHHS suddenly classifying my very disabled son as “abled.” I was on the phone hours earlier this month and thought the issue was resolved, but I got another letter yesterday stating the same thing. My neighbor asked for details and said she will look into it for me. I imagine we will get quick action - that is what has happened in the past. But really? You wait to take action until a government official intervenes in what is a very black and white matter? Ugh.

Empathy is important.if you don’t have it, then please…don’t bother answering questions. It’s very insensitive.

It’s really true that one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch by knowing everything and using SO many words to tell us all.

There is always a silver lining…the new administration has put a freeze on federal hiring, so now D2 may need to go back to private sector after her clerkship.

Earlier today, I recalled my OB in LaJolla, California, 33 years ago.

At the time, he had patients who flew in from Italy to deliver their babies in the states.

I was amused but not overly concerned. I don’t know what it cost them to make sure their baby would be American or hold dual citizenship.

He was of Italian heritage, but I don’t know if he even spoke Italian. I wonder how that network started?!

Due to the Southern CA fires (two of which hit too close to S and our homes) H & I went through the very bloated paperwork files and red-tagged the grab and go. Lots tossed, some to shred. It was a productive weekend!

The world is full of dangerous people. I feel terribly for the citizen killed, and hope for a speedy recovery for the 3 law enforcement officers and 4 citizens injured.

SIL is out of the country with an injury due to a climbing accident. Luckily he should be ok after having surgery on both ankles that are broken. They have a 5 year old, and as of this morning, my daughter has decided to stay home and not join him in France. As surgery is schedule for tomorrow, we are hoping to get more information today as far as recovery and when he can come home.

Where I am upset is with SIL’s parents. They live in the UK and were put on alert after the accident yesterday in the hopes they would go to him. While he has a friend with him that lives there, it would have been nice for at least one of his parents to be there for surgery tomorrow. They can take the ferry with their car and drive to him without much difficulty; they visit their other son often in the Netherlands by way of ferry.

D and SIL do not do well with stress at all, so I am trying to figure out how to help here once he gets home. Of course my D has 2 different work trips that she is responsible for in February, so I would assume I am on childcare at the very least. Somehow we need to get the house ready for him, as I assume he will not be able to walk for a good while.
