Sometimes some people are just so pedantic. Loosen up. We don’t always need to know if we are exactly right. Close enough is fine for a lot of things.
I am ticked off bc I’d like to get the newest Covid vax (and had an appt this morning to get it) but bc I’m not 65 or meet any of the specified recommendations, my insurance won’t cover it.
So I can choose to pay out of pocket $200 to get it.
I’m going to keep searching for more suitable answer.

I didn’t really want to buy items from your online Pampered Chef party (who even does that anymore) but I did because you are now in our extended family. I bought 3 glass prep bowls and wanted to melt butter quickly and put the prep bowl with butter in the microwave. The bowl and everything in it exploded in the microwave. What a mess–teeny tiny shards of glass covered in butter all over my microwave. Ugh. It was not easy to clean. Afterwards, I went to the website and it said the glass bowls were safe to microwave up to 350 degrees??? Maybe that message should be included in the packaging for the bowls so people know this? I had no clue.
You just love to cause chaos don’t you. You probably didn’t even administer one dose of medicine to your offspring. Can you not just

Sometimes too much or too many is really just too much or too many - no other “judgment” intended.
Nothing better than having your team play baseball in October! So happy to be at the game last night when the Padres clinched a spot in the post season. But you boys were killing us with the extra innings against the Brewers. Great fall night of baseball at the best ballpark!
Kimmel seems genuinely overwhelmed with his return to the air. He is choking up and so close to tears. I do appreciate this guy.
As a sorority member myself (back in the days dinosaurs roamed the earth), I take issue with Rushtok videos (check them out). Sororities are about sisterhood, and turning rush into a money making social media proposition is not what sisterhood is about. I know, Okay, Boomer. But I really wish that relationships could be personal and real, not something that you make money publicizing online (while holding whatever product you’re promoting).
Blah blah blah. Whatever. Your opinion is irrelevant.
The reason I am posting it here is because there is no response…my mom had a near stroke and had to have a pacemaker implant this weekend. Luckily she is fine and at home recovering. She can’t do a lot of things at home, like taking a shower, change her clothes, cook, etc. I was happy to find out that Medicare would pay for home care aid while she is recovering, which meant I didn’t have to take time off from work.
But because of the Trump’s big beautiful bill, the service won’t start until 2 weeks later. Now, common sense would tell you that the first 2 weeks of post op would be more vital for the service? My mother is eligible for 1 month plus of service, but it would have made more sense for it to be for the first 4 weeks.
For my friends on CC, my mom is doing well recovering. She is feeling much better than before the surgery. She is going to have much better quality of life with a pacemaker.

Dear Fresno Pacific University,
There is no way on this big green earth that my kid is ever going to apply. Save your money and stop sending us stuff in the mail. I’ve been to Fresno. It’s not all that.
Dear Vanguard University,
Never heard of you before, but we checked you out online thanks to the mail you sent my kid. Like Fresno Pacific U, there’s no way on this big green earth that my kid would ever consider attending. You don’t have the major she wants, you require students to attend chapel and you fine students who don’t go to the mandatory church services, and you’re in CA. My kid would rather have a root canal than go to college in CA. Everything’s too expensive there. Best wishes to you.

Now to figure out how to get to their restaurant and back. Only 500m, but it’s drizzly and it’ll be dark when we’re done.
Walking it is!
That thread was an interesting read but I think there was some blame misplaced.
My husband needs a calcium heart scan. A couple of nearby imaging centers do the procedure. Insurance will not cover the cost. One charges $434 the other $175. This discrepancy makes no sense to me.
Well, the apocalypse (or the rapture?) must be upon us because I am popping in to give kudos to both Frontier (Internet) and Dish Network. Our house got struck by lightning the other night (everything is fine-i managed to sleep through it somehow, but H did not). Both Frontier and Dish were here today replacing equipment, restoring service, and being super friendly and helpful. We’re grateful and I just feel like they get so much flak that I should shout out when they do a good job.
Now, on to fixing all the other random stuff that’s fried. Please, pool heater, I’m begging you to not be totally destroyed…. ![]()
Why is it so hard for me to let stuff go? I am trying to donate & pitch what I don’t need, and it’s harder than it should be.
Please let this job offer come through. Its been 8 long months.
Why would an architect produce plans without dimensioning where the doors and windows are?? It’s driving me nuts. I’m supposed to detail precast concrete to 1/16”, and I’m having to scale dimensions off electronic files. Does the GC have o do that, too? It’s a big firm in Boston - I think they put their junior people on the job.
